MUDAJYA (5085) : MUDAJAYA GROUP BERHAD
Jacky
Mudajaya Group Bhd's pre-tax profit for the financial year ended Dec 31, 2011 increased to RM293.948 million from RM278.386 in the same period last year.
Revenue rose to RM1.347 billion from RM870.428 million previously.
In a statement today, group managing director/chief executive officer, Anto Joseph, said the strong results were driven by its construction division on the back of higher recognition of revenue and profits on work done.
"As at end-2011, the company's outstanding order book amounted to RM4.2 billion and this will continue to anchor current year earnings.
"We will also continue to explore opportunities in investments in infrastructure projects to enhance our long-term recurring income base," he said. -- BERNAMA

This company has a good fundamental. High EPS, Low PE, High ROE, Good NTA, Low liabilities/asset ratio, High reserves.
Good dividend ( They started to get higher dividend last quarter, hopefully more to come).
One concern is their negotiation with the India company regarding the power plant

Investors are still very blur and dark over its power plant project in India. This project contributed significantly to Mudajaya's profit. If this project fail, it will die.

The corporation has about 27 subsidiaries with multi-billions capital invested locally as well as internationally as far as Mauritius, Saudi Arabia etc. Investment in India is only a small capital compare to the rest of international businesses. It will not die even if it does not get the project signed. So don't worry. This corporate giant needs to be invested for long term, like 2-3 years, then you will see capital gain. The only concern is that I am not sure how much this company require political back up. What if the present BN lost its reigning power after GE 13, would it affect its future performance? Anyone has any idea?
